State of the Art Fabrication
Wm. J. Donovan Co. is able to meet the needs of any client and any size project utilizing our state of the art 45,000 square foot facility, along with a 23,000 square foot warehouse and a satellite facility in North Wales, PA. Using our advanced equipment, including a plasma cutting machine with two tables and a computerized coil line, ensures the consistent quality of our projects.
Our rectangular and round duct is manufactured from a variety of gauges and materials including galvanized, galvanneal, aluminum, PVC coated, stainless steel, carbon steel in single wall, lined, and double wall applications. Our full service detailing department has the capabilities of handling any project requiring 2D, 3D and BIM.
VDC/BIM Coordination
Wm. J. Donovan Co. utilizes the latest Autodesk software, including Autodesk MEP, Navisworks, and Revit to efficiently produce fully coordinated three dimensional models of buildings and their mechanical systems. With ten licenses operating on dual monitor workstations, our highly trained and experienced CAD drafters can design HVAC systems and coordinate with structural, architectural, and mechanical systems simultaneously by using MEP to layout the duct and Navis to check for interferences. This “on the fly” design/coordination process saves time by eliminating the trial and error associated with separating design from coordination; increasing the probability of a successful system layout the first time.
Our large staff enables the entire process to be managed in house, increasing project control and consistency in design. Wm. J. Donovan also utilizes the Trimble Total Station for automated hanger layout, and the Matterport Pro3 for scanning and developing point clouds, which can be translated into fully working Revit models.
